Summary

Mark Mackay is a country music star in the making, but his background as a ski rep makes him the perfect new business episode. His road to Nashville included stints with Rossignol, Dynastar, and Atomic, all by the time he was 20. He was the head sales rep in California when Atomic started exploding, he had a dream job, he was young, and he left it all for the lucrative world of medical sales. Soon after, he had a life-changing epiphany on a paddleboard and, within an hour, quit his job, broke his lease, and went all in on being a country music star, and so far, it's been working.

The mountain, while it needed a few dumps, was the most fun mountain I've skied this year.

But the trip sure had its moments.

We started in Vancouver, and that's when we realized that the cracking in Angie's feet were going to be a problem.

0:38.6

See, her chemotherapy has her skin all messed up, and her feet, well, it's a combination of mini-cut

0:45.4

crevasses, per se, on the bottoms of her feet, and then ingrown toenails everywhere else.

0:50.7

It's such a strange side effect, which really impacted our ability to walk anywhere.

0:55.8

Ange powered through it and made the most of the trip, but she was in a lot of pain, so we were dealing with that.

we realized that he was down with a bad case of food poisoning. Looks like I'm going to be skiing solo

in the morning. So I wake up, I walk to the gondola, and when I'm going through the maze,

the RFID thing, I get stopped by a lifty. Looks like I had both Keaton and my pass on me, and it scanned Keaton's. They must

1:28.7

have thought I was breaking the law. But no, I explained myself, I showed my other pass,

1:33.0

and I had to go wait in a line to talk to people. This took about an hour, and I was finally

1:37.5

told I was good to go and that Keaton's pass would be loaded back up with his two full days to go ski the next day. So I ski, it was awesome,

I go hot tub, I get a burger from splits, and I'm loving my Whistler time. The next morning,
