Summary
Logan Pehota comes from ski royalty bloodlines. His dad, Eric Pehota, is a ski mountaineering pioneer, a badass in the big mountains. Logan's journey to ski stardom took him from racing to slope-style to the Freeride World Tour to where he is today, dropping the biggest cliffs and huge tricks in the backcountry. If you've seen a Matchstick Productions film lately, you know how giant Logan goes. On the podcast, we talk about his dad, high-risk logging, contests, how money dictates his contest lines, and so much more. Colby Stevenson asks the Inappropriate Questions.

| 0:16.9 | I'm your host Mike Powell, and I want to start this week thanking all the folks that work at the summit at Snow Kwame or any resort, really, for the hard work they put in every day, especially when it's bitter cold like it's been lately. |
| 0:29.2 | I know being a lifty is a thankless job, but thank you, especially to the ones who knock the snow off my chairs. That makes a difference. |
| 0:36.2 | What else makes a difference is having the right gear, and between my outdoor research heated gloves off my chairs. That makes a difference. What else makes a difference is having the |
| 0:37.9 | right gear. And between my outdoor research heated gloves, my outdoor research puffy, or my snow crew |

| 0:54.2 | warm. |
| 0:54.8 | So while it can be cold out there, if you have the right gear, it doesn't matter. |
| 0:59.6 | What else doesn't matter is how I record this podcast. |
| 1:02.2 | But one thing I do want to talk about is how I do my interviews, even though it doesn't |
| 1:05.5 | matter. |
| 1:06.1 | When I started this podcast, I knew that 90% of what I recorded would be remote. I just didn't have the money to |
| 1:11.9 | fly places or do interviews like maybe some other podcasts that lived in ski towns or things like that. |
| 1:17.0 | And during that time, other podcasters subtly clowned me because I was recording that way, |
| 1:21.8 | but I didn't care because I felt my content was noticeably better. But the way I do things is |
| 1:26.5 | so much harder than in-person interviews. |
| 1:28.3 | The reason I know that is because I do both in-person and remote interviews. |
| 1:32.3 | And with in-person interviews, it is so easy to get people to talk. |
| 1:35.3 | I did one last week and when I'm listening to the edit, it was like, |
