The first stage of the Tour de France 2020 is in the books and like everything else that's happened in 2020

it was a memorable one not always for the right reasons.

We're also going to talk about La Courseause 2020, the one-day race that the women participated in just

before the two different stage one started.

We'll do the men's race first because that's freshest in our minds and then we'll do LaCours

straight afterwards because honestly that's

probably the more exciting race and just better all-round racing how you go and

Benji what's your immediate reaction after stage one of the men's race?

It was a different spectacle, as I would say,

in the sense that we saw misery,

but we also saw happiness.

It was a one-house start to the ground tool and basically it was already quite a feeling of

more hype than previous years for me personally. I don't know what it is about this CS3 of France, but I feel much more entangled into it.

I think it's maybe because we're doing this now that I follow it even more than I already

would.

And I've got a feeling that the stage did deliver but as you said maybe not for the

right reasons but we'll go into that in a second once we go through the stage itself

what's your thoughts on the stage?
