Well it was the last day in the mountains and it was long and it was hard and there was lots of climbing to be done which is very very usual for mountain stages.

Nothing unexpected in that but something unexpected happened on 200.5

kilometres from Lorde to Lawrence. But for now, Primos Roglitchou might well win tomorrow, let's

not forget. He'd be a big favourite though. He's going to win the last mountain stage. Stage 19

as he continues to focus.

No showboating here, no zipping up at the jersey and putting his arms aloft in celebration just yet.

A time trialist knows more than anyone else in the race that every second counts and Roglitz takes stage 19.

And to add to his victory last year on the Tour de France, Roglitch rides to victory, takes 10 seconds and now at this point we'll be riding into a podium position over Chris Frum.

There's a sprint for second place that once again I think he's going to go to Geraint Thomas, who has in this group got the fastest finish and he'll pick up a further time bonus and Tom Dumalan will be out of the time bonuses

finishing in a lowly place there. So another great day for Geraint Thomas and he has essentially

secured the absolute iron favourite status to ride to victory in the Tour de France. In the end, it was

extraordinary. I thought it was unexpected. The attacks came from partly expected sources,

but also slightly unexpected sources. And it all kicked off really, or the signs that it was about

to kick off, were when Ketusha Alpacin replaced Team Sky on the front after the break had gone,

and we thought, oh, well, Il-Noccharideen's's going to attack, and Il-Nan-Zararine attacked.

But it wasn't so much about him, Chris, as about the riders that he took with him, being

Mikhailanda and Roman Badei.

And for a while, that attack looked really promising, didn't it?

It did.

I think hats off to movie star and Lander, obviously, for going from such a long way out. They really gave it a good stab and he was getting close to the yellow jersey on the road.

Didn't quite make it, did he?

But yeah, I mean, he was a proper threat.
