0:00.0 | Hi, friend. Welcome back to the podcast. I am so humbled you decided to welcome me into your earbuds or speakers today. |
0:21.9 | I know as a busy business owner, you have a lot to do and that to do list. Ooh, it's like longer than a CVS receipt. |
0:29.4 | Okay, it's not lost on me that you make time for the Jasmine Starshow every single week. |
0:36.6 | This week's episode is a coaching session I had with members of social curator and y'all know that social care is a platform full of resources for business owners that provide social media marketing plans, group coaching in a community to hold you accountable. |
0:49.5 | I can't wait for you to be a fly on the wall of this amazing conversation. So let's dive in and I'll meet you back here in a bit. |
0:55.0 | Hi, so I'm Diana and I just launched my first course called Elevate your Airbnb and I have been I've had this amazing side hustle for the past 10 years where I have been an Airbnb host and we host in our little tiny house in our backyard. |
1:14.4 | We have been super host 20 times and on the side of started helping other hosts elevate their spaces, their design, their marketing so that they can be fully booked. |
1:28.3 | They can be really confident in their hosting and their style and so that they can just be making a really solid side income. |
1:34.8 | And so I just launched my first course and it went really well. I've been using all of your tips for and I love using my part of social curator and using the gallery and keeping up on social media and I sold out within five days 23 spots and I hit my goal big time, which is fantastic. |
1:55.7 | But now I'm like, what's next? Where do I take this? And so I'm trying to really dream bigger and think about do I do a membership, do I invest in Facebook advertising, do I make the course ever green, do I do live workshops and I think I could ask my audience, but I'm not sure that they really know and I also want my audience to get a lot bigger. |
2:23.7 | So I'm just trying to figure out how do I know which direction because I'm seeing like 10 or 20 different directions that I could take things to make it bigger. And I also think that my audience is just infinite. I have. |
2:36.7 | Yeah, I mean, so this is just super exciting, but a clarifying question. When I said I hit my goals big time and it was 23. Why was 23 your goal and are you doing anything one on one with them or is it all DIY? |
2:51.7 | So it's a digital course that's self-paced and they then get access to a private Instagram account where I'm giving them support. And then we're also doing two live Zoom calls for Q and A. |
3:06.2 | And then also they just are going back get kind of getting more access to me one on one with a lot of questions they have as they complete the course. |
3:15.7 | But right now they have access to it and they can do it on their own time. Great. So first things first, like congratulations. That's freaking amazing and here. Secondly, it's still so new to be asking what the next 18 steps should be. |
3:34.7 | Like what I think day and issue do would be to live launch it two more times. But in order for you to live launch, you have to be able to grow your audience and your list in |
3:47.7 | and equal proportion to what you have done thus far. So let's just say for math sake, you had a thousand Instagram followers and you had 200 people on your newsletter list. |
3:56.7 | In order for you to receive similar results to 23 people who bought you're going to have to add a lot of people to your followers because your current followers have already seen the offer. And if they said no once, maybe they might see at the same time and consider it. |
4:09.7 | But you have to diversify and grow the audience enough to see the offer a different time around and every time you live launch, you're going to learn something else. |
4:17.2 | And then you want to really ask yourself is like, what is the long tail? So if somebody buys a course in 2021 and then you turn it evergreen in 2023. |
4:25.2 | Are they still a part of that private Instagram account? Are they not when you say they have one and one. Well, of course, because at 23 students, they can absolutely have 101 and it's not going to take you too much time. And if the 101 is only happening on Instagram, that's a scalable customer service opportunity. |
4:39.7 | If you launch to 200 or 2000, all of a sudden, it's completely unscalable. |
