Summary

Dave is still riding the high of the Steelers making the playoffs and offers his apology to everyone who wanted to see Justin Herbert and the Chargers in the playoffs instead of Big Ben. The guys were impressed by Herbert’s performance but Martin thinks Brandon Staley should have been aggressive the entire time and gone for two at the end of the game. The guys discuss Georgia’s win over Alabama in the National Championship and Stetson Bennett’s performance in the game and on Good Morning America. Dave and Martin still disagree on a pivotal fumble call. Dave was impressed by Nick Saban’s post-game actions. Plus, a look at next year’s odds as Dave already knows one of these teams will be back in the national title game. Former Rams wide receiver Torry Holt joins the show to discuss his case for the Hall of Fame, playing on the Greatest Show on Turf and losing the 2000 NFC Wild Card game against the Saints. Plus, being in Nelly’s Air Force Ones video and his reaction to Antonio Brown’s outburst. Then he talks about this year’s Rams team, the pressure on Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp’s MVP case. Plus, Dave asks him if the Patriots knew their plays in the Super Bowl and Torry gives an interesting answer. Cousin Sal takes a look back at the Extra Points’ crew season long bets as Martin hits big on the Jaguars worst record. Finally, the guys make their picks of the day and Eddie celebrates the Giants firing Joe Judge. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
