Welcome, everyone to the score fantasy football podcast.

I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at the score.

Great to have you with us today as we recap all the injuries from the weekend and then we'll

turn our attention towards week eight and the players that you should be targeting on the

waiver wire this week.

But let's get to the injuries first and we will start with quarterbacks and arguably

the MVP of the fantasy season so far, Jaden Daniels left this game early with a rib injury

quick trip to the medical tent then he was testing it out on the sidelines he made one

practice pass immediately seemed like he was in some discomfort there so it was off to

the locker room for x-rays and the commanders they were up pretty big in the Panthers

at that point so there's really no need to kind of rush Daniels or try to get him back in the game. But now the question becomes, is he going to be ready for this matchup with Caleb Williams and the Bears in week eight? And it was a very good sign that he was on the sidelines in the second half. He was celebrating with his teammates. It was also good that his mom shared on social media that he's fine literally those words he's fine

now apparently the initial x-rays they came back negative he's going to undergo some more tests

today possibly an MRI to get an even closer look at it if it just turns out that it's a bruise

it'll be painful but he should be able to play through that if there is even a small fracture

in there then daniels is likely to sit a game or two.

We'll see when we find out the results from today's update. But right now I'm operating as if he

is going to be active in week eight. And as long as we don't have a Tyrod Taylor needle situation,

I think there's a good chance that he could be out there if he does have to sit

Marcus Marriota would step in and Marriota played okay in this game I mean it was the

Panthers he was going against and they were already up big but it would be much tougher

sledding if he has to make a start against the Bears that Bears defense is pretty good

kind of underrated so Marriota would be a low- end QB2 streamer if he gets the start in week 8
