I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at The Score, and we have made it. I mean, we've almost made it. Maybe I'm jumping ahead of myself here. We still got the Monday night between the Packers and the Saints left to go tonight. But this is the unofficial start of the fantasy championship week. It's also the holiday week with Christmas and the Christmas Day games on Wednesday. So that's going to complicate things a little bit.

And I went over my content schedule for this week on Thursday or Friday show at the end of last

week. But basically, we're going to have today's episode going over the injuries from the weekend and

then the top waiver wire pickups for week 17. Then I'm going to have the waiver wire call them out

as usual tonight, which is Monday night. Then Tuesday, that's going to be the final podcast episode of 2024 that one's going to get

you ready for the fantasy championship and then it's just rankings the rest of the way

after that first rankings going out on Tuesday then updates on Wednesday Thursday

Thursday Saturday and Sunday before all the games so no starts at stash quit Quit, no Friday injury updates episodes. So this week, just because the holidays, we're not doing those. But I'll have the rankings all up to date. You'll be able to set your lineups. And hopefully you can finish this thing off strong with a fantasy title. Now, before we get there, we got to stay on schedule. So let's start with the injury roundup from the weekend. and at quarterback, we do have a few notable ones. Josh Allen, he suffered an elbow contusion that caused him to get checked out during the game. Fortunately, he did get cleared to return and he got back out there. It was bothering him. I mean, he was shaking that arm out a bunch. And it wasn't a great game from Allen by any means, but it was good that he got through it.

It was good that the Bill's got to win, at least from my perspective as a Bill's fan.

There was also a report over the weekend that Alan was playing through a fracture in his left hand that happened back in week one.

It's not something that's at issue now, but just keeping you up to date that that information is out there now.

And I expect that Alan's going to play through this elbow thing in week 17 but I will

mention that if the chiefs win on Christmas Day then they would lock down the

number one seed in the aFC and the bills wouldn't have that much to play for

the final two weeks the only threat for them at that point I think would be the

Ravens maybe catching them for the number two seed but that would require require Buffalo to lose bolter games, the Ravens to win both their games, all that sort of stuff. But the Ravens also play on Christmas Day. So we're going to know pretty early in the week what the situation is for Buffalo. And I just say it because there's a chance that Buffalo could rest Alan a little more than usual down the stretch this year.

I think he's going to be fine for the fantasy championship. But if Buffalo beats the Jets this week, I highly doubt that Alan is going to play in week 18,

unless they have a chance to get past the Chiefs and get that number one seed.

Now, the big quarterback injury from week 16, the one that actually could impact fantasy title games, that's Jalen Hertz. And he got evaluated for concussion. He wasn't able to return. It happened on a play where he picked up the first down with his legs, got driven into the ground by two defenders. And that was it for his day. Kenny Pickett took over. it might be Pickett starting in week 17 if Hertz

can't get cleared. Often we see these guys that end up in concussion protocol. Often it takes them

more than a week to come back. But Pickett, he also got banged up in this game. He
