Welcome everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at the score.

Appreciate you checking out the show today. If you are, I'm assuming that means that you're heading to the fantasy playoffs, so congrats on that. I have just one of my dynasty leagues where I didn't make it, but I kind of expected that to be the case just due to injuries. The team was really, really top heavy. I didn't have the depth to overcome some of the losses of guys like DAC and some other players. It's 14 teams. It's super flex. It's 34-man rosters. So I'm going to finish a couple games out of the playoffs in that one. And then out of all my redraft leagues, I only have two where the playoffs still need to be decided tonight. One, I should be fine in the other one I I'm going to need a lot of help. Mainly I'm going to need CD Lamb to be held under nine or 10 points, something like that, which seems pretty unlikely. I mean, he's facing the Bengals defense. But you never know either way. I've punched my playoff ticket in the vast majority of my leagues. And now we've got to get even more serious about making a playoff run. And we're going to talk about the top waiver wire ads a little later like we always do. And I'll give you my quick outlook for how I think you should be approaching your roster during the playoff weeks. But first, we've got to go over the injuries here from the weekend. And we'll start at quarterback. A couple big names that had to leave their games briefly. One was Justin Herbert, who seemed to injure his ankle, kept playing through it, and then later in the game did limp off, and Taylor Heineckee actually took over for a little bit, but Herbert returned. He finished the contest. I'm not expecting that he's going to miss any games, but don't be surprised if he's limited or if he misses some practice this week. We also had Brock Purdy, who took just a massive hit in that game, was on the ground, seemed to be hurt, ended up staying in the game, though, so not something to worry about, but when he was down on the ground, I was definitely concerned. Will Levis, another guy who got hit seemed like he was going to have his day ended early.

2:01.3

Levis was just absolutely blown up. It was a Hail Mary attempt before halftime. He fell awkwardly on his shoulder. Seemed to be favoring it quite a bit as he headed to the sidelines, but he was back out there in the second half. So I'm guessing he's going to be fine for week 15. Probably a little sore today, though. And then we have the quarterbacks here that weren't so lucky and the first is Derek Carr he got

2:20.7

hurt he was trying to hurdle a defender yes Derek Carr trying to hurdle

2:24.0

defender not really sure why but it almost worked and then he fell it was on his

2:28.8

non-throwing hand he also suffered a concussion on the play and we find out today it was a

2:33.6

fracture in his hand.

2:51.7

So his head coach Darren Rizzy saying this isn't something where he's going to go on IR. It's more week to week. No matter what, though, I don't think we're going to see car play for at least a week or two, maybe more. So it's going to be Jake Hainer taking over likely. We could see Spencer Rattler get a chance. Either way, it's not great for fantasy.

2:52.6

This is a team that's already lost just so many weapons right chris olive rashid shahid tasem hill my guess is

2:58.5

olavi of all that group he's the only one that could potentially still come back my guess now is that

3:03.0

he's probably not going to if car is done or if cars missing significant time. So it's a bump

3:08.1

down for all the Saints skill position players fantasy wise and we're to be targeting defenses

3:12.7

against them in the playoffs. So that means the commanders in week 15, the Packers in

3:16.9

week 16, maybe even the Raiders in week 17 in the fantasy championship. And speaking of the Raiders,

3:22.1

they also appear to have lost another quarterback. And this would be the second quarterback to go down for them

3:27.1

Gardner Minchie was the first now Aiden O'Connell is hurt and he was in obvious

3:31.5

pain they put an air cast on his leg and you wondered if it could be a serious knee

3:36.4

injury could it be some type of fracture when you're talking about a cast lots of

3:40.0

speculation that his season could be over and then today the team's just calling it a

3:44.4

bone bruise in his knee and they're not even ruling him out for week 15 regardless

3:48.6

here I don't think we're gonna see him under center in that game and that to me

3:52.6

means that Desmond Ritter is going to be the Raider starter in that one and if
