Why are our kids killing themselves?

Let's look at some of the stats in this article.

Youth suicide rate increased 56% in a decade.

The CDC says death rates due to suicide in homicide

amongst persons aged 10 to 24, 2017.

So we've got some graphs here.

Let me show you these graphs.

If they just look at the entire group 10 to 24,

for the first time ever, suicide has bypassed homicide.

Up until this moment in history,

homicides were always higher than suicides.

But then you can see right around 2009, 2010,

this shift begins, homicide sort of plateaus.

It stays where it's at, but suicide is clearly rising.

Then they break these graphs down into more definitive age groups.

Look at 10 to 14 folks.

10 to 14. My son's 11.

I can't even imagine why a child at age

would be considering killing themselves.

Look at this skyrocketing up.
