0:08.1	Here are today's headlines.
0:20.9	On Friday afternoon, a judge in Texas ruled that the Food and Drug Administration was wrong
0:26.8	to approve the abortion pill, Mifapristone.
0:30.0	In 2000, the FDA approved the use of Mifapristone with another medication Mifapristole to terminate
0:37.5	a pregnancy.
0:38.8	But some medical experts said the approval process was rushed, and the drug poses a threat
0:44.9	and danger to women.
0:47.1	So last year, a group of doctors and organizations filed a lawsuit against the FDA challenging its
0:53.3	approval of chemical abortion drugs.
0:56.0	And the judge in Texas has agreed.
0:58.8	But here's where things get a little bit complicated, less than an hour after the Texas judge
1:04.2	issued his ruling, a left-leaning judge in Spokane, Washington issued a ruling directing
1:10.8	the FDA to continue allowing many Americans to access the drug.
1:16.2	And then on Monday, Biden's Justice Department appealed the Texas ruling.
1:20.6	The DOJ argues that the lawsuit was null and void from the start since the medical professionals
1:26.4	and organizations that filed the lawsuit were not harmed by the abortion pill.
1:31.9	The court must rule on the Biden DOJ emergency request by Thursday.
1:38.1	In other news, Fox News reports that the Biden administration was reportedly involved in
1:43.7	the raid of former President Donald Trump's home in Mar-a-Lago on August 8th, though
1:48.8	officials were, quote, unquote, stunned when they found out about the raid.
