When you look at past fantasy champions, there's one common trend you'll find.

They were able to identify and obtain the proper breakout players because these guys are

essential to winning in fantasy.

So in this video, we'll help you find the top 10 breakout candidates for 2023.

And it starts with the Bill's second year running back in James Cook, who is absolutely a

breakout candidate and had a great rookie year. Because as a Cook, who is absolutely a breakout candidate and

had a great rookie year. Because as a rookie, Cook was the second most efficient running back on the

ground, and when you factor in his receiving work, he averaged 6.3 yards per touch, third best

in the entire NFL. Meaning the only two players who were more efficient than him last year were

Brees Hall and the Andre Swift.

And now the interesting thing is that Hall and Swift going rounds three and five, but James Cook goes right here in like round seven or eight. Now here's what you need to know. To end

2022, Cook started stealing more work. You can see at the beginning of the year as a rookie,

he played just 5% of the snaps. It was his only fumble of the year in week one, and he ends up losing a lot of work. But then as you scroll through the rest of the weeks,

from week 13 on, he starts to see basically half of the snaps, 27% more touches overall.

He splits the backfield in basically week 13 and 14. And then to end the year, he's playing

anywhere from 40 to 50% of the snaps in week 18 actually more than

Devin Singletary. So Cook snaps increased by 27% and Singletaries dropped by 20% over those final

six games. And now Singletary is no longer with the team, but the bills did replace him.

They ended up signing two veterans. The first one, Damien Harris, to about $1.7 million and

then Latavius Murray to $1.3 million,

but neither of these guys are all that scary.

Because Latavius Murray is 33 and a half years old, and Damian Harris was around 40th in running back efficiency last year.
