Good evening, this is John Bachelor. Tonight on the show I speak with my colleague, Mary Kissel,

about Janet Yellen's efforts to soothe the people's Republic of China about their damaged economy,

damaged not by anything the US did or the neighborhood did, but damaged by the bad business plan

that they've been pursuing for many years. Intellectual property theft, dumping on the market,

state-owned enterprises being subsidized out of the treasury, unhappy events to the population

that would be suppression. In addition to that, they've made bad loans around the world and

they're so-called Belt and Road, very little likelihood of be paid back and the loans to the

municipalities developing along the pro-river and other parts of China are all bad loans being

rolled over by new bad loans from the people's bank of China. I could go on. The property sector

is collapsed. The consumer won't step up and substitute for the dip in exports. The whole

story of the manufacturing now is calling up for cash by the manufacturer's cash ahead of time.

Mary and I discussed that it is very little that Janet Yellen can do for China even if

Janet Yellen had a motive to help China. China is an aggressor threatening the neighborhood.

We also speak about the mystery of Russia not to be solved, but the challenge for NATO going

forward. Does it will it bring in Ukraine or not? Mary has strong opinions about this.

She has also been very clear for some time that the US needs to give Ukraine the weapons and the

time and the experience it needs to hold off the Russia invader. Later on I discussed with Gene

Marks my small business columnist from the you from the Guardian newspaper and the Philadelphia

Inquirer that the doubt about the recession remains. The Federal Reserve is predicting a mild

recession some time in the near future. There's no indication from most of the metrics that we watch

that the economy is slowing down our softening. Yes, 200,000 plus for the last jobs report wasn't as

robust as it could be, but it's still 200,000. Other metrics indicate people are confident.
