Good evening, tonight in the show, much attention to the meeting in Johannesburg, South

Africa of the BRICS, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa.

The focus is on expanding the BRICS, and also the ambition of the People's Republic

of China is to transform the BRICS, which is the genius of a banker in the early part

of this century, not anything geopolitical about it.

It was a way of selling it to customers of Goldman Sachs, I'm told.

The BRICS to transform into a global organization opposite the G7, or in opposition to the G7,

or in competition with the G7.

The G7, as my friend Greg Rickopoli points out, are the richest nations on the planet.

China is ambitious, and is the second major economy, but is deeply troubled.

Russia is in retreat because of the Ukraine war, and because it never did recover from

the Soviet experiment of the 20th century.

South Africa troubled Brazil, ambitious, but troubled.

In India, great potential, especially moving the factory flow from the People's Republic

of China to India.

However, these nations, the BRICS, do not represent great wealth or expendable wealth.

They represent ambition, good for them.

Lula de Silva says to once Argentina to join immediately, Argentina, a badly governed

and heavily indebted nation, with inflation over a hundred percent facing an election.

Not an attractive partner, but for the future Argentina is a rich, resourced land with

a very well-educated public.

And certainly is a driver in a recovery of South America.
