The show begins tonight with the economy.

Mr. Biden is campaigning on the basis of a better economy, and indeed it is not a bad economy,

except for the inflation gremlin.

Infration gremlin is a product I am told of the spending of the federal

government which remains unabated and in the second term more spending. At the same time, Mr. Biden does enjoy recovery. So it's a close

contest if you're voting pocketbook. There is the matter of ESG, however.

ESG investors, these last last years have been disappointed and the Wall Street Journal and the Financial

Times and other newspapers of a story that says that ESG is out of favor and that even Coca-Cola no longer emphasizes it when it deals with its

stockholders. ESG, gone for the moment.

I then turn to the question of the National Security Command in light of the few facts

we have about the Secretary of Defense not present and not communicating and that the White House, the National Security

Council, other members of the command chain did not know or did not check.

It's a puzzling story to summarize.

In the event, the Secretary will wish him well.

He's in Walter Reed, accepting remedies for his cancer, very straightforward.

I went through the radiation of cancer several years back,

at the same time men were coming and going who were dealing with prostate

cancer and it is a challenge and you take radiation over some weeks or you have surgery and you do recover so I wish the

secretary well the questions remain however about the chain of command there'll be more

of this in future a mix-up can explain a deal of it.
