Hollywood is a theme for much of a conversation with Jeff Bliss.

There is a list of the top 20 science fiction movies picked by a London Times panel. Jeff and I enjoy

ourselves adding to each, that's all. We didn't want to speak against the 20, although more than half of them were not all that

tip-top.

But Jeff offered a Charlton-Heston movie that came out, think in 1969 it was based on a science fiction

novel about everybody in the world turning into being a zombie a vampire a

were wolf except for Charles and Heston, and one other person he finds

alive, immune from the virus that's spreading.

The ending is a surprise. Always a surprise. In an event, it's called the

Omega Man. Jeff picks Omega Man. I picked a Charles and Heston as well.

So, then Green with Edward G Robinson.

A Story of New York, the upper tier and the lower tier, and finally Tuesday

is Soyland Green Day.

A great payoff.

There's also Beethoven in it with Edward G. Robinson, and it's a moving

story that was made cheaply and fast and certainly resonates with those of us who lived through

the 1970s in Manhattan.

Jeff's second choice is also entertaining.

It's 12 monkeys.

It's a science fiction time machine loop story with Bruce Willis in the 1990s, I think 1995.

And it's very entertaining and very fast. My second pick was nothing so subtle.
