Welcome to the Dr. Daf Show! In today's episode, we are joined by Tonier Cain, who shares her remarkable story. From multiple s*xual assaults and neglect at a young age to 83 arrests and 63 convictions, drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution, homelessness, physical assaults, multiple r*apes, getting her children taken by the state, etc etc, Tonier is a walking testimony to God's power and love. While in prison and pregnant, she lay on her cell floor and cried out to God. She said her prayer was sincere and desperate: “God, I don’t know if you listen to people like me but if you do, please help me!” She then enrolled in a community program to heal and recognize trauma victims. It was during the program that she received mental health, substance abuse, and trauma treatment. Since then, she hasn’t had the desire to do drugs or return to the streets. In March 2023, Tonier will celebrate 19 years free from drug addiction, alcoholism, street life, and prostitution. Today, Tonier is a living example of why you should trust in God and never give up hope. She gave her life to Christ, turned her life around, and now She speaks at prisons all over the country, inspiring women. She started a nonprofit called Neen Cares Inc. that provides intervention and support for those suffering from trauma as she did. She has been featured in and produced her own documentaries and films on her story, written multiple books and now owns a successful skincare line, called Hope by Tonier, where proceeds help fund her non-profit. But through all of her accomplishments, Tonier is most proud of being a mom to her 20-year-old daughter, Orlandra, the one she said inspired her that fateful day in prison to change her life. 0:12.3	Kane. Tonyer was sexually abused at the age of nine
0:16.0	which was followed by years of assault, neglect and eventually 19 years of crack addiction, prostitution, homelessness, and rape.
0:29.8	My mother entertained a lot of different men.
0:32.1	Every other night they would bring her a bag of beer or a bag of liquor and I will always hear her singing and laughing but when I didn't hear my mother's voice anymore I know it's going to be soon that I would hear the footsteps of the men walk towards our bed from door.
0:45.0	And at age now, when I were here the footsteps, I would jump off the bed, stand in front the door to protect my sisters and brothers, but event it made me available to the men so there was a lot of
0:56.5	molestations a lot of sexual assaults she was arrested 83 times and convicted 63 times for possession, prostitution, check fraud, and more.
1:10.0	As a result, Kane had three children taken by the state.
1:15.2	In 2004, Toniar felt hopeless and dead inside.
1:19.7	She had tried everything but God, and found herself seeking him.
