We're. Welcome to the program today. My name is Mauna Gonzalez and I'm here in studio with Dr. Tommy Ice. Welcome. Thank you.

And Dr. Tommy is an expert in biblical prophecy who also believes in a rapture. I guess that would

qualify you as a wacko to some. And, you know, there's a lot of labels going around for

those that believe in the left behind eschatology. And there's a lot of mud slinging. And part of it is,

for those of us who study it, we study it seriously, we love the Bible,

and we develop our theology from the scripture itself and not from other things, but

there's this, it just refuses to die, this theory and people write in and say, have you not

heard that dispensational teaching, maybe give a little bit of background on what that is,

began in the 1820s with Darby and McDonald.

I mean, you have a degree in historical theology.

You've done a tremendous amount of research

at trying to really kill this theory.

Give our audience just kind of a little bit of background.

Yeah, well, it is true that Darby was one of the first modern person to articulate a preacher of rapture.

And he talks about how he discovered it in his studies during his convalescence in 1827 from a harsh accident.

And so he's reading nothing but the Bible during his convalescence,

and he began to realize the preacher of rapture,

and he talks about that in his writings.

Well, people come along and say,
