Welcome back for Justice League of America, number 177, the April 1980 issue entitled

Aquaman, we haven't seen in a while, so good to see him back. The Adam, who we also haven't seen

in a while, the Batman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Superman, and Zatanna. We open up this issue with our long missing friend,

and then poor, poor, poor target of so many jokes. Aquaman attacking a Russian whaling boat.

Of course, he's riding a sperm whale. He's always riding a sperm whale uh aquaman's a little bit more

militant in this issue than i think i've seen him before in jala at this point he's still the exiled

king of atlantis but he's really i mean he brings up uh he uses the term rape as in raping the sea

which is that's a little aggressive I have to say I can't

remember Aquaman ever being that rough and tumble my favorite scene does

involve the communist whalers screaming monarchist scum show them how we treat

Zaris in the people's Soviet republics.

That's funny. I do like the confrontation between some communists and, you know, a monarchist.

So I guess they're striking a blow for the people. So once again, we have the Justice League against the people.

Aquaman, of course, dodges the situation, knocks the boat over, commanding his sperm whale friend.

The whalers fall into the sea, and they turn into suspicious-looking statues, which confuse Aquaman.

Yet he sort of remembers what they are.

We then cut to another one of our friends that we haven't seen in a while, Ray Palmer, the Adam.
