Summary
Fitton had stressed his concerns to this reporter last week just hours before Attorney General William Barr and prosector John Durham turned the Justice Department investigation into the FBI from an administrative review to a criminal inquiry.
I spoke to Fitton after the Justice Department's decision to turn the investigation into a criminal inquiry. He said has not changed his mind as to whether the DOJ will prosecute those involved in what is being described as a 'soft coup' against Trump. However, he added, he has more hope.

| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to the Sarah Carter Show. I am really grateful to be with you and a lovely |
| 0:10.3 | beautiful day here in Washington, D.C. from the swampy swamp with all the swamp creatures |
| 0:17.1 | crawling around. And believe me, they are here. And they are here in full force as we've |
| 0:23.1 | seen over the last. I guess the last three years, it hasn't slowed down. It's only |
| 0:28.8 | gotten worse, different monsters or popping out of our swamp and they are looking pretty |
| 0:34.5 | vicious. And they're out to get the president of the United States. That is their intention. |
| 0:41.2 | That is what they are doing. First, I want to bring up something that is so stunning. |
| 0:46.4 | Something that I've actually discussed with people here in Washington, D.C. over the |
| 0:49.8 | last year, you know, more privately. How are you feeling about the divisions in the United |
| 0:54.7 | States? It's very depressing. It's hard for me to believe that as a nation, even though |
| 1:01.2 | we have our disagreements, we are one. We are one people. You know, we are not here to |
| 1:11.0 | fight one another to the point where there's no return. We're here politically, and I'm talking |
| 1:16.2 | about politics, you know, to find some kind of common ground, some middle ground. We all |
| 1:20.7 | don't agree on the same things. We see different paths sometimes to the same answers or the |
| 1:26.7 | same solutions that we're looking for. But there was a poll taken, and it is an incredible |
| 1:34.7 | poll that says, basically, seven in ten Americans say the United States is on the edge of civil |
| 1:44.2 | war. Think about that. Seven in ten Americans is on the edge of civil war. This partisan political |
| 1:54.6 | division and all of this incivility is pushing America to the brink. Why are we thinking this way? |
| 2:05.7 | How do we look at one another? How did it all come to this that even members of the same family |
| 2:13.2 | sitting around the dinner table? It isn't just a discussion and maybe an argument. It's all |
| 2:19.2 | out hatred. And I mean, I don't know. Maybe we need to take a step back and really look at what's |
| 2:26.7 | happening to us. Who is playing us? Why are we going after one another? You know, I remember my mother, |
