2026 as we always do with the rollout of Trail Runner of the year.

And this year, we have companion podcasts with everyone in the top five.

So five straight days of podcasting to celebrate the 2025 season and recognize the athletes

that the global trail community deemed to be the best performers. Today, we're joined by

the number five athletes for Trail Runner the year, Tom Evans and Nina Englehart. It is a testament to

just how exciting the sport is at the moment when the UTMB champion Tom Evans and the double

world champion, Nina Englehart, are only in the fifth position. Of course,

both are very different athletes, Tom, one of the most decorated long trail athletes in the

sports history. While Nina was arguably the biggest breakout short trail star of 2025,

unfortunately, we couldn't connect with Nina around the holidays. So the back

half of the episode, you're going to hear a segment of the interview that we did with her in an

episode shortly after her double gold medal performance at the Trail and Mountain Running

World Championships in September in case you missed that one. What you'll hear first is an interview with

Tom Evans, who is always great to catch up with and who, as usual, had a lot of great

reflections from his amazing undefeated season. Before we get to it, thanks to all conditions
