Hi everybody, welcome to Along for the Ride with Andrea Fapani. I've got Jim with me.

0:19.0

Today I couldn't be more proud to present the guests that we have on the phone.

0:22.6

Today I'm going to be talking to Todd Bergen. Todd doesn't need an introduction. We can go through all of his accomplishments and you can easily see that he's won everything there is to win both in raining and working cowers.

0:35.6

Todd is the person that I went and learned from the beginning

0:40.6

when I came in the States. In 98, I started working for him. I worked for him for about six years,

0:45.7

and he's taught me more than anybody else. He's the person that I've got to give the most to

0:51.1

as far as what he's done for my career, both as a trainer and as a person,

0:56.0

and he's taught me so much that I could never thank him enough.

1:00.0

Todd has won pretty much, like I said, everything that there is to win from NRAHA futures

1:06.0

two times to NRADA derbies, but also is the only guy that's crossed over to NRCHA and won everything over there.

1:15.6

So he's over a $2 million rider in NRCA earnings, a little bit under two millions in NRHA earnings.

1:21.6

He's won the NRCHA Futurity two times as well, just like the NRHA Futurity, along with multiple other

1:30.2

events in NRCA. So it's really rare that you find a guy, or really I don't remember ever

1:37.5

hearing from a guy that can cross over and win as much. Yeah, there's people that have done both,

1:43.0

maybe the cutting and the raining back in the days, but there hasn't been anybody in the modern times that have really been able to accomplish as much as Todd have done.

1:51.4

And Todd has accomplished it because of his hard work and he's wanting to learn all the time. And that's always been my philosophy. Maybe it's because I work for him him but I've always learned to keep my eyes open

2:01.4

and keep my mind open to new things and learning new things and you'll see from hearing from him

2:06.9

I have a feeling that we'll get that straight out of him in the fact that he's never satisfied he's

2:11.9

never set on on his wins I remember working for him for those years and we've never really talked

2:17.1

about the great runs that he said we always talked about the things that needed to be improved, the

2:22.3

things that needed to be added to the program, the things that needed to get better in order

2:26.3

to to stay on top and that's probably the secret of anybody's success. It doesn't matter the
