One more for Mike Kafka here on Jackson Dart.

He was asked quite a bit about him yesterday off the loss to Minnesota and the lack of throwing the ball.

We had said last hour he kind of pushed back on any narrative that he has regressed

and basically said you can't judge him strictly by the stat line.

I don't see that as a regression for Jackson.

Sure, maybe the numbers are what they had been in the past, but I think he's playing

well.

He's playing at a high level.

There's certainly things that he can continue to improve on, and we've talked through those

and as a group, too.

It kind of made the rounds that Dart, whether he realized it or not, at some point,

liked the fan video on Instagram of Chris McMonigle, criticized the Giants. I don't know how you don't realize it. I mean, well, you know, sometimes guys, if they're skimming through, it could be accidental. But in this case, I don't know. Fleeg's made a good point on Instagram. You got to do the double tap. Oh, is that true? kind of tough to get away with it there.

Doesn't do anything for it. No. So the fan puts out a video of McMond. No, I think it's great. What I'm saying is I don't think he did it on accident. I think he liked it because he is frustrated. I mean, he's an NFL quarterback that early on when he first got the job was playing

at a high level, like Mike Kafka just said, and he threw for 33 yards on Sunday. 33 yards,

not on a drive, not in a quarter for a full NFL game. He threw for 33 yards. Yes, there were a

couple of drops for sure. Yes. They didn't let him throw. They had the one sequence I brought up yesterday was when they actually had the ball near the red zone. I think they were on the 21-yard line. They went run, run, run for a total of seven yards. Didn't even give him a chance. Yeah. So if I was him, I'd be terribly frustrated. Can I, Do you think some of that is to protect him? Then don't play him. Then don't play him. You can't do this half-ass. Go out there. We got fans here. They want to see you, but we're not going to let you do anything because all you're doing is running the risk of him playing a way that he doesn't play, and it's just a waste of time. Like, what do you put him out there for then? I just, I just know some O-season coordinators, they'll protect the guy by doing enough, but not doing where you put him in. Like, he goes out there, throw a couple picks. He loses confidence from the team. He goes out there and scrambles around.

He gets hurt.

Sometimes the run game acts as a stabilizer. Now we come back to the question I brought to you earlier. Is this entertainment? Is it about winning? Is it about growth? Like, these are all things. I think he's about growth. But I think he's got to play. and he's got to play the way he needs to play.
