Welcome back, everybody, to the Football Guys Daily Update. You give us 10 minutes. We'll give you everything you need to know to make you the most informed fantasy football player in your league. I'm Mike Dempsey-Lon with Football Guy's own Bob Harris. Bob. It is week nine kicking off tonight, Thursday night football. Lamar Jackson is good to go. In fact, everybody on the roster is healthy, it looks like, for the Baltimore Ravens. So where does Lamar rank them on quarterbacks for you, officially for week nine? The list of quarterbacks I would play ahead of them is short. In fact, it's one. Jackson is my QB2 behind Patrick Mahomes. I don't know if you've developed a better opportunity. You may have drafted somebody later, Drake May or somebody who has risen up into that same level,

0:39.4

but I think you want to get Jackson in your lineup if you have a chance.

0:42.5

All right.

0:42.8

And for their opponent, the Miami Dolphins, the eye issue seems to be improving for Tua Tua,

0:49.2

coming off this best game of the season.

0:51.0

Bob can Tua take advantage tonight of what has been a generally poor

0:54.5

Ravens defense this year. Maybe so. So Michael McDaniel hinted after the Cleveland game where they

1:01.1

leaned really heavily on Devon A-chan that he wanted to get more people in the mix and we saw

1:05.6

it in this game. In addition to running well with Devon E. Chan and Olly Gordon, too,

1:10.1

getting 113 yards. They distributed as well nine different players, four different players caught touchdowns. If they could continue with that, yeah, I think Tua could leverage this. I don't know that I want to play it. I'm probably waiting, but I think it could be a good game. Maybe some of the associated pieces. All right. And finally, Cedric Wilson got 22 snaps in week eight against the

1:28.8

Falcons, offensive coordinator Frank Smith of the Dolphins says the team likes his intensity and

1:33.3

toughness, Bob, is he worth a roster spot, even a speculative one in case Joe and Waddle were to get

1:38.8

moved. Yeah, I think given that new approach that I mentioned, he is probably worth a roster spot.

1:43.5

Shouldn't be in lineups at this point, but yeah, maybe a speculative play. All right. Now, let's get to other teams,

1:49.4

including the Chicago Bears. Holy cow, who's going to practice at least for them this week?

1:54.7

DJ Moore out of practice yesterday. Alamede Zakias Luther Burden. Roma Dunzee should have led

2:00.5

with that one. DeAndre Swift, not practicing, Bob. What the heck? Which of these bears do we need to be concerned about? Probably none yet. We talked yesterday about the challenges for Burden to get through the concussion protocol if he wasn't on the field Wednesday. So that's a concern. Beyond that, Brad Biggs from the Chicago Tribune made a great point. You know, with their top four receivers not practicing the team had a large tryout Tuesday. They didn't add any bodies at the position. So Big suggested we hold up on the social media panic attacks and give this a day. And I think that's the thing. We'll revisit this tomorrow and see where we're at. I'm guessing we'll get some guys on the field, including Swift. All right. For their opponent this week, the Cincinnati Bengals, no practice for Joe Flacco, although they're saying, you know, he doesn't, he's probably the quarterback that needs the least work to be able to play this weekend, but what do we know at this point in time? Well, according to NFL, that works Ian Rapid Party isy's dealing with an AC joint sprain in the throwing shoulder.

2:52.0

So Flacco status is up in the air for Sunday's game. And I watched him leave Sunday's loss to the Jets. And then he came back late. He showed no signs of being in pain, seemed to play without issue. But we know how this goes, right? Michael, a little time, a little less adrenaline in the moment. and these injuries can end up being a little worse than we thought.

3:07.2

So Zach Taylor called the day today and said he's impressed with Flacko's willingness to go through this week, hoping to play, but realizing ultimately he might not. And you mentioned, you know, just being with the team, that could be a factor in this. Jake Browning will be standing by. All right. And we move on to the Tennessee Titans. not surprising that Calvin Ridley's not practicing, still dealing with that hamstring issue that's cost him some time. Tony Pollard not on the practice field yesterday, Bob. What's the word here? So he wasn't seen on the field of the start of practice, but he ended up being listed as limited. That's obviously better than no practice at all, but this is one to watch as the Titans continue to prepare for the Chargers. I think this is the point where I remind everybody to expect every suddenly unhealthy

3:44.9

player with even a modicum of value on lousy teams to be the subject of trade speculation, right? So

3:51.2

expect to hear that about a lot of players. All right. Let's move on. Falcons taking on the Patriots

3:55.8

this week. Michael Pennix Jr. said to be taking the bulk of the reps at quarterback, barring any setbacks. Do you expect him under center this week? I do. After the beating they took at the hand of the Dolph's game, where the offense might have been even worse than the defense, which was very bad. The Falcons had just two first downs and almost as many penalty yards against them.
