Ultimately, I think it's the, we're watching the decline of film as art because there's

nowhere left to go artistically.

Every once in a while, every like four to five years, a movie will come out that technically

moves the bar.

Like I would say gravity was probably the last one that did it, Avatar 2, I think we'll

do it when it comes out.

But by and large, the only movies you really get now are of these kind of subgenres.

There's like the Summer Blockbuster, which is primarily at this point, comic book movies,

but sometimes you get like a toy movie, like Transformers thrown in or whatever.

In the same vein.

But then the Oscar movies themselves are of the like forest gump kind of like weird character

that teaches us all about life, which has some supernatural quality.

Shifting over to be like, like I'm sure there's part of people just the money thing being

like, oh fuck, well this should be a fucking superhero fist.

Because you know what I mean?

The Academy has just been like crumbling and looking at things like Comic Con.

Like, that's just just growing out of control.

A year after year after year and money, money, money, money.

And we're not that fucking, you know.
