This week, our guest is Dr. Jamie Meyer, the president of the performance racing industry trade show and media company.

I know.

For some of you listening, you may be wondering, wait, isn't there also a Dr. Jamie Meyer that runs Chevy Performance?

Well, yes, no, kind of. all the same guy, but now he runs

PRI. But this interview is the story of his path from medicine, then to media, automotive media,

then to NMRA, then to GM, and now to PRI. And maybe I thought we were only going to talk about the PRI show when this interview booked,

but we certainly didn't just land there.

You know, life is different now.

You've got to be able to work something for 12 or 14 or 15 hours a day and not get tired.

You know, there's no such thing as a 9 to 5 job anymore.

So you've got to find something you really love.

And for me, it's always been cars.

And then if that's not enough, a second interview popped up, totally out of the blue,

from Racing Parts manufacturer Brad Loyott.

His driving career ended after an accident in his shop,

and now he's got a successful fabrication company. If there's anyone

that needs to be and will be successful at the PRI show, it is him. Before that happened,

I was in the position of building parts for myself, I guess, just to, you know, offset the cost,

and it was something I enjoyed doing. And it kind of forced my hand, you know know no pun intended to to make a run it
