Summary

Episode 30: Today we have Mari Llewellyn with us, who is the founder of Bloom Nutrition, host of the Pursuit of Wellness podcast, and founder of the Strength by Mari fitness app. Not only is Mari known for her incredible business success, she is also known for her amazing health and fitness journey. Mari went from struggling with her weight and being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD), to losing 90 pounds and finding mental clarity. In this episode, we cover so many incredible topics, including liver detoxification, how Mari cleared her skin through nutrition, changing your body composition vs. losing weight, and tips to integrate if you are dealing with insulin resistance. Mari also gives us insight into how she is prepping her body for pregnancy. I have always been so inspired by Mari’s incredible mental and physical transformation, so it was such a full-circle moment to have her share her story with all of us!

Wellness Her Way is where we make a home of our body, mind, and soul, instead of jumping on trends for short-term results.

We've got one body.

0:33.9

We're going to nourish it, love it, respect it, and embrace it through all its forms. Hello and welcome back to another episode of Wellness Her Way. Today we have a friend of mine with us, Mari Luellen. Hi. And we were just talking about how long it's been since we've seen each other. Over a year. Over a year. You were on my podcast. I know. And you didn't even have a podcast yet.

I know. So much has happened. I'm honored to be here. Thank you so much for having me.

We're so happy to have you here. A lot of people look at your transformation as something that was purely physical, right?

1:04.8

Anybody who follows you, people that haven't followed you, everybody has seen your transformation that's taken place.

1:09.7

You lost over 90 pounds, but your

1:11.7

internal transformation is something that inspires me so much. And I think is just as powerful,

1:16.8

if not even more powerful than what took place on the outside, right? You transformed your entire

life. So I want to know what your mindset was before this transformation. Such a good question.

1:27.0

And I think you're right. It's like the clickbait

1:29.6

of it all. I think we're all very visual people and look for things very quickly without absorbing

1:34.8

information because that's how social media is kind of like built. But for me, my weight loss was

1:39.6

extremely internal. And if anything going into it, I didn't even think about the weight loss

1:46.0

goal. It was more like I want to become someone that I'm proud of. So before my fitness journey,

1:53.4

I would say I was someone who I definitely hadn't found myself yet. And I was kind of okay with being

average. I think because the self-love

wasn't there. Like I didn't know what self-love even felt like. And I think I was dealing with a lot
