0:35.6	You are a writer. You have produced a wonderful
0:39.3	book called Patterns of Evidence. And we'll talk more about that later. You've produced a DVD
0:46.1	called Patterns of Evidence. And the patterns of evidence that you deal with have to do with
0:52.6	the history of the children of Israel in Egypt.
0:57.0	And how there has been a lot of, shall we say, meandering away from the truth in the study of Egyptian history.
1:06.0	And let's just talk about Egyptian history, the Bible, the Exodus, and the dating schemes that people
1:13.6	have attempted to work out up to now.
1:17.6	Well, you know, I first got interested in these stories as a child.
1:22.6	Like a lot of people, I was told the stories of the Bible from my mother. And I grew up in a single
1:30.2	parent home. And so these stories of Joseph and stories of the Israelites in Egypt and Moses
1:40.0	and the parting of the Red Sea, well, when you're a child and you hear these amazing stories,
1:45.4	it was very, very fascinating. And so that was sort of, you know, people have asked me,
1:50.5	I don't know if you know this, but it took me 12 years to put all this together, and I didn't
1:54.6	do it alone. There was a team of people, and I've got a writing partner, Steve Law, who helped me with the book. And we've been working on this for a long time.
2:02.4	Asking this question, is the Bible, you know, is there any historical credibility to the Bible?
2:09.0	And so that's basically how I got started on all this, but it started as a child with my mother
2:14.2	planning these stories into my mind and in my heart. And that was sort of the drive for me was when I heard that the people were saying there wasn't any proof for the Bible, then I wanted to basically go and check it out for myself.
