Hi, everybody. Tim Gordon here. I'm coming to you today, not from Central California,

where I normally podcast Rules for Retrogrades with my brother, Dave, but from Southern California,

we're here in Orange County, right outside, just a couple miles from Children's Hospital of Orange

County, one of the finer hospitals

here in California. And we're doing some tests. Everything's okay over the next couple days. I just thought

I would check in with all of you patrons and otherwise people in Retrograde Nation because, you know, we didn't do a video on Wednesday.

Dave and I have been crazy busy with writing deadlines. We turned in the manuscript for the feminism book.

Finalizing the review edits of Rules for Retrogrades, the book, which will be out sooner in March.

And both of our families had crazy colds, which a monster cold worst I've ever had without a fever.

It lasted two weeks, and both our families had that.

So together with the Christmas and New Year holiday, then, you know,

the wake of that, some writing deadlines and now five or six days worth of tests where we're staying

in a hotel here in Orange County. It's been crazy. And I thought I'd hit everybody, every subscriber out there with some thoughts, some

ruminations on the theology of suffering because if I'm being perfectly honest, I was talking

to an old law school buddy of mine just this morning on text when I was in the hospital.

And I was saying, I feel a bit different than I used to feel when, you know, we spent a

great deal of time in the children's hospital of San Diego when I was in law school.

It was in bad headspace.

Abby was young. One, two, three.

We'd just gotten back from Italy.

I just had decided to pursue the law degree after having put aside the PhD.

Let me tell you people, so much suffering, so much anxiety nonstop, I would walk around
