TikTok currently has been installed 1.45 billion times since launching, and it isn’t slowing down. The parent company behind TikTok, ByteDance, Ltd, a Chinese company is alleged to be worth between 75 Billion and 78 Billion. Despite the value the legal troubles for this company are mounting in the United States. From an investigation by the Army for privacy concerns to an FTC settlement for COPPA violations to multiple private lawsuits over privacy issues, including allegations that TikTok isn’t being clear with how much identifiable personal information they actually have.
