One on and hit the right to the left way back there. Right back there. Hold on. Harkins win! Hold on the minute! It's the clear road home run! And the track is in the back to him, you know, I don't believe! It gets away right side. The Jackama on his way in. He's safe at the plate. Throwback to Schaeffler gets away towards the dugout. Here comes Bianco! Tigers win! Tigers win! Tigers win! All right, welcome back to another edition of Tigers win. Happy to be joined today by two LSU gymnasts, Haley Bryant, Sierra Ballard. How are y'all today? Thank you for being here. Great. Good. Excited to be here. So grateful that y'all would come out and to our studio today and have a little conversation. Before we were rolling, we had a very diverse conversation about the food and all the venues at LSU Athletics, so we can maybe veer that direction when we get there, but let's start with gymnastics. I'll start in the same place that I just started

with our previous guests. Y'all had such a grinding, grueling season. It ended on such a high note, but there were so many peaks in valleys. Haley, I'll start with you. Like what has the last month been like? Have you been able to recover, catch your breath, both physically, emotionally? How are we feeling a month out from the crime?

1:12.1

Definitely.

1:12.1

I haven't done gymnastics internationals.

1:14.2

I really kind of just been rehabbing my shoulder, kind of getting that stronger because that was kind of an issue towards the end of the season, just with the pain. So just managing that right now and getting it better to be my best self for next year. Sierra, how about you? Same thing, mostly rehab. I haven't really done much gymnastics. I've kind of been booted since the middle of season, so I'm really just taking the time to actually fully heal and not train. It's been hard because obviously you want to get back in the gym and it's something that you miss so much. Like you don't even realize how much you don't see your teammates whenever you're not practicing. And I'm like, I miss you guys. I want to hang out. That's definitely a good place to be with the teammate rather than like I don't want to see you stay away from me to miss them. But y'all just spoke to injuries that you carried throughout the season. And so much of this year was about injuries and the people y'all lost but there was also the injuries that you had to

2:01.6

perform through and deal with and cope and manage so from both of your perspectives like what kept

2:06.9

you going when your shoulder was killing you or when your foot was killing you how were you

2:10.9

were you able to work through that obviously there's the physical side the rehab the treatment all that

2:15.2

stuff the emotional side too what was it like to battle through those injuries? I definitely just wanted to do it for this team. I sat down with Jay multiple times and he was like, you don't have to do this. If your shoulder is really that like bad, you don't have to. And I think I just looked back and wanted to do it for each and every girl on this team. And that's really, what was my focus this year? Just doing it for them and giving them my best gymnastics. Yeah, it's kind of the same thing. It's like I just wanted to contribute in any way I could,

2:37.2

and I knew that if I went out there, and I trusted myself enough to where I knew when I needed to cut

2:41.7

myself off, and I was like, I can do it. I actually almost got pulled at nationals because I was in

2:47.5

so much pain, and like I didn't really warm up the best because I was like I can't

2:50.8

run into my passes and Courtney pulled me aside and she was like are you sure you can do this and I was

2:56.0

like no I got it like 1,000% sure I'm gonna hit what what were so you mentioned that working through

3:03.0

that and wanted to be there for your team but what what were the things that did get you through it?

3:09.3

Like what were the, was it just the teammates, the support of the teammates? That's a lot of pain to

3:15.8

push through. Yeah. Like, how did you manage it? How did you get through it? I mean,

3:20.9

it is. It's the bond that we have. We made this connection from the summer from the advance in the beginning of the year. I've made it. I mean, it is. It's the bond that we have. We made this connection from the summer

3:24.6

from the advance in the beginning of the year. I've never been closer to a team in my entire

3:30.0

life, and I think that connection really just like pushed me forward, but also the fact that

3:35.5

last year didn't really go the way I wanted it to, and so I kind of had that own, like,
