Summary

Tactical orthodoxy within the modern game is undeniably Eurocentric. The ideas being used within the upper echelons of the game have been developed in Europe usually by Europeans. In this episode, Jon Mackenzie is joined by Jamie Hamilton (@stirling_j), a UEFA A licence holder and academy coach, to talk about what we can learn about tactics outside of Europe.

1:13.6

has taken place in Europe and whether or not, you know, it's necessarily the case that

1:19.6

the most efficient route that has been taken is always the best one.

1:22.6

So, yeah, Jamie is quite interested in some South American coaches who are doing things very different

1:26.6

from a lot of the positional play coaches that we get at the very top level of the European game now.

1:31.8

I'm now excited to listen to this episode.

1:33.7

Yeah, it's a good episode, I think.
