Hey, friends, welcome back to today's episode of Everyday Truth in Genesis Chapter 31. We are with Jacob on the run. He's been trying to get out of town and

Laban has caught up to him. Remember, though, God has appeared in a dream

to Laban and told him, you better not mess with my plan and with my man. And even though Jacob

doesn't necessarily deserve God's protection, God is protecting him because God made a promise,

that great covenantal promise to Abraham, that he would bless his seed and bring about a nation,

eventually bring a Messiah, a Savior, and all of this is part of God's grand redemptive plan.

And here in verse number 43, we have the conversation between Laban and Jacob.

And Laban says in verse 43, Laban answered and said unto Jacob, these daughters are my daughters.

And these children are my children. These cattle are my cattle.

And all that thou seest is mine. And what can I do this day unto these my daughters or onto their

children, which they have born? So you see the frustration of Laban.

So from a human standpoint, Laban is taking umbrage.
