Oh, except for the fact that football is being played tonight in Canton, Ohio. And every time I say that, Peter Schroger turns with just the slyest of sweet smiles. I can't wait. I'm a sucker for this. You know, and people will criticize the actual game on the field. Don't enjoy. It's not the point. It's back.

It's a Thursday night and you've got Tariko's voice welcoming you and you've got actual football.

We walked a thousand miles and now we are here.

There's been a lot of May and June, good morning football shows.

Hypothetically speaking, reality's here, guys.

Like some of those miles, we were crawling. We're getting dragged. Yeah. And I would walk a thousand more just to be the man who watched Jets Brown's tonight. I proclaim this. I proclaim this tonight is the opening. Any in June soundtrack? Maybe, Peter. That's great. Great job. You know, at the start of the show, you said, what, this is not the season opener to the spectacular show that we like to watch. That's week one. But I thought maybe it was more the upfrents. You know, in networks, like they have like a little teaser. They bring out all the stars. You want to see cameras flashing and whatnot. Someone's story begins tonight in the Hall of Fame game between the Jets and the Browns. Let's pick apart some of those stories. Time to leave lock. Football tonight, Jets Browns. You mentioned it, pro football, Hall of Fame game, Canton, Ohio. You won't see Aaron Rogers taking snaps. And that's cool. There's enough slow motion video out there from training camp. If you want to just have that up on your surface while you're watching the game, that's your prerogative. But here's what Rogers had to say about tonight starters for the Jets at quarterback. His backup is Zach Wilson. I think he's done a great job. He's played really, really well in camp. You guys have watched it and he's made a number of great throws. He looks confident. Fundamentals I think are improving. He's throwing the ball on time because he's got all the other intangibles. He can run, he can move, he can throw on the move, he can throw no-look passes. Hmm. We'll see a little no-look pass tonight. Then it'll be a mixed bag trivia of 15 years from now. Peter, what is one thing you are watching for in tonight's Hall of Fame game besides the no look, ironic Zekwold? I don't need no look from Zach Wilson. I need a pass. You should look. Look. I'd like to see him looking right at a receiver and hitting him. Look, talk about a punching bag. But Zach Wilson in this market.. You go back to that Thursday night game against Jacksonville last year

where he was benched in that rainstorm. And Chris Strevler came in, who wasn't even given the power to throw the ball. It was like, just basically run student body left, and we're going to try to win this game. Sounds terrible. The reports at a Jets camp is that Zach Wilson is much improved. The reports at a Jets camp is that Rogers has been attached at the hip to Zach Wilson.

I think Roger's greatest gift to the Jets is going to be a Super Bowl ring if he can deliver that.

His second greatest gift might be the tutelage of their young quarterback, Zach Wilson.

An unbelievable story to think that this guy was the second overall pick two years ago

and is now relegated to the bench.

What a piece of humble pie to eat.
