What do you do when more and more people in your life prove to be untrustworthy?

Good morning, friends, and welcome back to today's episode as we delve into Psalm 12 today, Psalm 12, only eight verses long, and my goal is to get it all done.

So let's go. Psalm 12, the introduction says to the chief musician, and that may have been, as we've

said, a reference to the Lord himself, upon

shamanith, which is an eight-stringed harp, probably the instrument or one of the

instruments that David played, and of course, a Psalm of David. You're going to recognize

this Psalm because there are some really famous verses in it.

But oftentimes we recognize famous verses in the Bible

and we divorce them from their larger context.

And context is key.

So let's see what David is talking about,

where those famous verses come in,

and how best to understand them.

So Psalm 12 in verse 1, David begins the Psalm, the way he begins many of the Psalms,

with a sense of urgency, a sense of even desperation.
