Welcome, friends. Thanks for joining us again today in the book of Josea and chapter number one, talking a bit about Josea, the prophet and his family, his

dysfunctional family. Isn't it good to read the Bible and realize that your family is not

the only dysfunctional family. We've talked a bit

about his wife, Gomer, and then we've talked about his first two children, Jesreal, which means

scattered. And remember, his name was to signify that God was going to deal with a nation. And eventually that nation, that Northern Kingdom would be scattered.

And then we introduced yesterday the name of the first daughter of Josea and Gomer.

And her name was La Ruhama, no mercy.

And the fact is, God's mercy, not giving us what we do deserve, is something that has a shelf life.

It has an expiration date. So we better be careful during the season of God's mercy not to

overextend our stay, to make sure that we are allowing God's

goodness and his grace in our lives to lead us to repentance. And now today we want to talk about

the third child that Josea and Gomer had together. And that story begins in verse number eight. Well, actually,

that's the end of the last story. Look at verse number eight. Now, when she had weaned La Ruhama,

she conceived and bare a son. So we have Jesrael, the oldest boy.

Then we have La Ruhama, the second, she's the girl.

And now number three, we have another boy.
