Hey friends, welcome back. We're in Matthew 14. And as promised, we're going to go into the next event in the ministry of Jesus, at least as recorded by Matthew.

And today, we're going to talk about the feeding of the 5,000. Now, before you tune out, want you to

understand that this is one of the most profound and important miracles in the entire ministry

of Jesus. You say, well, Kurt, why do you say that? For a couple of reasons. First of all,

it's one of the only miracles that's recorded in all four

Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Not only that, it has a lot of space given to it by each one

of the gospel writers. They spoke voluminously about the feeding of the 5,000. And then understand that the feeding of the 5,000

represented a turning point in the ministry of Jesus. It was the place of his greatest

popularity in his Galilean ministry. And then within one day, his ministry just came crashing down as far as its popularity

was concerned. So very, very important miracle for us to consider, not the least of which

is to say that the miracle itself and all the lessons we learn in the miracle, how God works and what he does, and all of

that is so vitally important. So let's dive in to the Matthew account of the feeding of the
