1:02.5	A bill that would make contraception federally legal was shot down in the Senate yesterday. The Right to Controception Act would guarantee access to contraception nationwide.
1:09.5	It would also prevent governors from enforcing laws limiting
1:13.2	access to birth control. There are currently only 14 states that have legal protections for the right
1:20.0	to contraception. Under the proposed law, Americans would have the right to buy and use contraceptives.
1:27.3	It would also allow health care providers
1:30.0	to provide them. This applies to birth control pills, plan B, condoms, and other forms of contraception.
1:37.8	And yes, they're all legal right now, but the law was trying to protect that right. It's important to note that things like
1:45.7	hormonal birth control pills are not just used for contraception, but for various health issues
