Hi, friends. Starting a brand new chapter today in Josea Chapter 12 and some great, great imagery at the beginning of this chapter.

And then an incredible historical reference, and I can't wait to get there.

So, Josea chapter 12 and verse number one, the Bible says, Ephraim, and again, I've told you this time and again,

that Ephraim is just another name used for the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

Of course, Ephraim, one of the sons of Joseph.

And the biggest, the widest swath of land in the Northern Kingdom was the tribe of Ephraim.

So sometimes the entire tribe was called by that name. So

Ephraim feedeth on wind. What a statement. Ephraim feedeth on wind. Well, that ought to

immediately resonate with you, even though you might never have heard that metaphor before. I mean,

you can't feed on wind. It's substantive. It's without substance. Substantiveless. Yeah, you know what I mean.

There's nothing there. It's eating and not getting anything out of it. There's no nutritional

value to win. And the whole point is this, that they were living an empty life. They were seeking

help and sustenance and finding none, none really. It's very similar to what Solomon said in his conclusive book,

Ecclesiastes, when he said, hey, it's all vanity. It's vanity of vanities. It's like the wind.
