Now the shotgun's starting golf is full of mathematics, there's a lot of a lot of setup work that we have to do in order to make a tournament work, so I'm going to demonstrate to you just exactly how we do a shotgun start here.

Ladies and welcome to a Thursday edition of the shotgun start. It is April 6th. Andy, how are we doing?

Brendan, I'm doing great. We have we've departed our usual club TFE house, a comfortable setting and club TFE house. We are inside.

We're the acoustics in here. If you can see, oh, we are on video. We have a video of proportion of this. We're just staring at the walls. It's just really weird. We're in the media. It's the press building.

I don't want to say media center. I think press building is official. I guess national term. We are recording shortly after the conclusion of play here in the first round of the 2023 Masters turn a nice little podcast room. It's it's fancy.

Oh, weird here. It's got an on it. It might be too good. It's gotten on air light out. It's superficial. It's on. We're on air. You know, everybody nobody can come in and disturb us. This might be too professional for this podcast to be completely honest.

It really is. What I love most, and I don't know, is this coming in on the video? You're sitting underneath just a guy. Jordan, sweet, just staring over you and just a guy in a green jacket.

What a quite an oxymoron. How can you be just a guy looking so so content in your green jacket as a master's tournament champion looking down over your shoulder here as we record?

How about just a guy today? He was all over the board was up and down around. He just just a quintessential Jordan, sweet, the guy. Yeah. I owned it Augusta national. Most importantly, I would like to understand. I want to know.

Where are we with the game within the game this week? I just want it to be known. I picked a winner for everybody. I told everybody.

He was going to win this week. And what did he do? He delivered a win. What do you owe the par three? What he was going to win?

My guy, Shamus power kind of tailed off late. He finished one over seventy. He got until like three under. I was getting really worried. I know. I think it was three under three over.

Hogi is one behind Shamus power for this. So the game within the game is still alive and well. And this is what the listeners want up to the first round of the match. I think Hogi got jammed. I think he really got jammed this week.

What do you mean with playing with Phil? Yeah. Yeah. He had to play with a lot of stuff going on out there. Yeah. They were quite chatty. And I was like, I was just like, they had to be talking about parles and futures props. They probably had their own game within the game.

Yeah. But I didn't want to say I was rooting against him. But I mean, I, you know, as I love Hogi. But, you know, when I watched him flail one into the creek on 13. I was watching that team.

Were you down there? We were a part of it in the same place. Yeah. Yeah. I was good at one of my notes. I was kind of fist pump below. I was like, that's good for my Shamus power. I had to head with you.

So one of my notes was Hogi fell victim to the momentous decision. Can we, can we kick this pot off with just and just talk about the preposterous nature of PGA to our pros.

And why we should really not value their decision. They're, they're a pity and on a lot of matters. What, what are you talking about? All of them are moaning about how they're not going to go forward on 30. Nobody's going to go for it.

Just to lay up all four days, DJ. I'm just going to lay up. Not a fan. And then today comes and they're all going for it. They're all hitting the fairway. They're all going for it. And what we saw was some panel. So these bad shots got popped.

Guess what? When you have a longer shot in. Yeah. There's more results of the shot. We saw guys in the back bunker. What I like couldn't, I was thinking about is like, God, nobody goes in those back bunkers.
