Summary
Bobby found a study that reveals signs if you are addicted to your phone. He admits his phone habits and whether or not he really thinks he is addicted to his device. We had a listener call in who just got a big promotion after 5 years! Which is great except he was lowballed in the salary. How does he approach this when he believes he is worth more money? Bobby offers a strategic plan of action for anyone who believes they are worth more than their current offer. We played a fun new trivia game called "This or That," where Amy and Eddie go head-to-head to guess the correct answers from two options. It’s much tougher than it sounds!

| 0:23.0 | to your phone. All right, everybody, here we go. I'm not addicted to my phone. But I will answer |
| 0:27.3 | these honestly. I do love my phone though, but I'm not addicted to it. Number one, you reach for your |
| 0:32.5 | phone before you fully wake up. Anybody do that? No. No. Really? No. I have, that's a boundary that I set. |
| 0:39.3 | Oh, good for you. I don't even think about my phone. Wow. Good for you. Huh. Yeah, I do. |
| 0:46.0 | Well, yeah, my alarm goes off my phone though. Does that count? Yeah, but I think it's like, |
| 0:51.2 | do you open it up and start scrolling? No, not always. |
| 0:55.1 | Okay. |
| 0:55.6 | I do grab it when the alarm goes off and I check it to see what time it is. Sure. Yeah, that's different. Right, that's different. Okay, I can actually go and fully feed the dogs before I even check my phone. Uh-huh. Yeah. Are you being honest? Oh, yeah. He just said before, I'm going to be honest. |
| 1:09.7 | Okay. |
| 1:10.7 | You feel a mild panic when you can't find your phone. |
| 1:14.8 | Yeah. Oh, yeah. He just said before, I'm going to be honest. Okay. You feel a mild panic when you can't find your phone. Yeah, of course, because I just lost my computer that's been in my pocket. Yeah, there's so much on there. Like, it's not because I, oh gosh, I need to scroll. But if I'm trying to leave my house, I need it for maps. I don't know how to get anywhere. Good. Okay, we're all there. Next one. |
| 1:43.8 | You check it even when there's nothing new. Yeah, I do that. Me too. And mostly it's just because I want to see what's up in the news. It's my number one news source. Twitter. I don't really check Instagram unless I, like, in purposeful. I don't know. Instagram's not like my last one. Oh, that's my first one. |
| 1:46.3 | If I want to be entertained, I go to TikTok first. |
| 2:52.9 | Like if I got some time to sit and actually be entertained, TikTok, if I'm just checking the news to see what's up, Twitter, Instagram's last. You? I don't really check my phone unless it buzzes. Oh, Eddie. Come on. You don't ever scroll on. I mean, if I'm in the bathroom. I mean, Eddie was telling me... That doesn't count, though. Toilets are offens toilet. Okay. You know he scrolls like TikTok. On the plane. I'll do that. For entertainment. Yeah. Okay. Next step. You use it to avoid even brief moments of discomfort. If you're like waiting in line, sitting alone, riding in an elevator, feeling awkward. Yes. I can put it up to my ear and act like I'm talking to someone if I don't want to talk to someone. Does that count? Or is I just using that as like camouflage? I mean, this is like a decoy. You acted like you're on a phone call? I've probably done more fake phone calls in the past five years than real phone calls. Well, that's for sure. That's messed up, man. Because you don't like real phone calls. I don't like real phone calls. I don't mind FaceTime. So it's not a lack of connection. It's on just speaking without visual. I never know when someone wants to get off the phone with me. Yeah. And I never know if they know I want to get off the phone with them. |
| 2:53.8 | We know. |
| 2:57.0 | And if we're on FaceTime, I can tell. |
| 2:58.6 | I can tell if they're done with me. |
