Today we're going to talk about something I preach on all the time and something that I have experienced in a huge way just this past month, which is the compound effect. So I'm going to explain

what it is, how I've seen at work, and how you can apply it to your own business or anything

in your life so that you too can use it to your advantage. Okay. So the compound effect is a principle and book written by Darren Hardy,

and it's about how small actions can lead to hugely successful or unsuccessful results

when executed consistently. So that's important to note up front. Depending on what small

actions you're taking regularly

will determine whether they positively or negatively affect your life. And this is applicable

to everything from your business to your relationships, health, etc. But of course, for our

purposes, we will discuss it in terms of your business. And I reference

the compound effect a lot to my own clients because one of the core practices I preach and teach on

is the importance of showing up consistently on social media and creating valuable content in abundance, even when, and especially when

you aren't seeing the results you desire yet. Because over time, these little things add up.

And I say that all the time. Baby steps add up. And at some point, you'll inevitably reach a sweet spot in your business

thanks to the compound effect principle and I saw this take place beautifully this past month

in August so one of my big income goals I've had for a while was $20,000 a month. Why 20? Well, in the first phase of my

business, almost four years ago, when I was managing social media for big businesses, I was making

consistent five-figure months, but never got over 11 grand. So when I transitioned from managing social media to mentoring

female solopreneurs on how to grow their own businesses via social media, I, of course,

wanted to eventually match my income and then surpass it. So 20K became my new big goal. Now, in the beginning of 2019, my business ramped up

quite a bit by doing the things I teach to you in this podcast and the same things I teach to my
