Everybody, I'm excited. I got my friend Jello joining. If you follow the podcast, there's no doubt in my mind that you have heard of the fighter pilot podcast. That's probably how you found the Afrobin podcast. But I have Vincent Jello Ielo here today. And we're in the middle of our seed series. But I think this is important. I wanted to get on here because you have some exciting news.

Can you tell me a little bit about it?

I certainly do, Ray.

And first off, thanks for having me.

And it's fun to join you and your listeners and viewers here.

I do have some exciting news.

I have been for five years working on my memoir.

And it is due out April 1st, 2025. It's called Through the Yellow Viser. The Life and Miss

Adventures, M-I-S is in parentheses, just for fun. The Life and Miss Adventures of a U.S. Navy

fighter pilot. It's my origination story from my first air show at eight years old, probably a similar

story to you, became infatuated with aviation and found my way through.

Wasn't all easy unlike what you see in Hollywood.

And then all the stops along the way and then ends at the end of my career.

So it was fun to write.

Yeah, it looks like it.

And just seeing some of the highlights from the book, I mean, obviously, the inspiration

joining, but you know, joining, but, you know,

F-18, top gun, combat deployments, landing on a boat, which again, sounds crazy to me. And then,

I mean, ultimately, you got to wrap it up flying the greatest fighter ever created, the Mighty

Viper. So, I mean, quite a career and quite a book. Indeed. And, you know, I wouldn't say I was some great war hero

or anything special compared to the people that do it, right? I'm guessing you would agree with me.

I mean, in the circles we run, there are some really truly American heroes out there.
