0:00.0	Hey, everybody. This is Heidi St. John. I hope you guys are enjoying this several days of me being
0:05.9	on hiatus and just replaying some of my favorite podcasts. I've been getting a lot of questions
0:10.8	today about teachers and discernment inside the church and Christians today are becoming less
0:16.4	and less discerning. In turn, false teachers are gaining greater influences and audiences around
0:22.7	the world to twist the versions of the gospel that they say are true. And so we're going to talk
0:27.3	about that because it really matters. Stick around. I think you're going to be encouraged.
0:39.6	All right. So obviously, there's a lot on my heart today. We just got back from
0:44.5	mom's strong in Florida. And right before we left, I recorded last Friday's podcast. And obviously
0:51.2	that happened before the Valentine's Day massacre in in Parkland, Florida. And I just wanted to say
0:58.6	again, we've talked about this on my my Facebook page and on Instagram how terribly devastating
1:04.7	this kind of thing is. And obviously our country is hurting. We're living in a country that is
1:11.6	a fractured in many ways. We are living in a country that has reactive state constantly, really
1:17.2	of reactive Christianity. So instead of being proactive and walking with Lord oftentimes, we're
1:23.1	reactive. So I've said this before in the podcast, but when there's a national tragedy, like what
1:27.6	just happened in a parkland, Florida high school that left over a dozen students dead, at least at
1:33.8	the time of this recording, we tend to react to that. And we fall on our faces and we cry out to
1:39.3	God. And then when things feel better, we go back to our normal, you know, our regularly scheduled
1:44.4	uh, walk with God. And it's not working. And I think as a result of where we're at in the country,
1:51.7	I get a lot of questions like the one I'm going to answer today. I'm going to actually start to
1:55.5	answer it and I'm not going to do the whole thing because I think it's going to take more than one
1:59.6	podcast. Um, but I'm getting a lot of questions from people who feel like they're being mocked
2:05.1	for their faith or they can't defend it. And it's it's pretty normal. Last week we saw Joy Beher
