As you know, Jim Garrity is away and here in his place, we're happy to have Nick Fradis.

Nick spent 10 years as a Republican member of the Virginia House of Delegates. He is currently the host of the Making the Argument podcast. And Nick, it's great to have you. Thanks for your time today. Oh, thanks for having me on. I appreciate it. Well, I don't know how you spent your weekend. I'm sure it was one of the no king's protests, fly in the hammer and sickle like all of these other radicals. Of course, it's portrayed in the media as, you know, this fight against Trump's authoritarian moves. But if you actually go to the protest, it turns out that it looks quite a bit different

from that. Here's Fox News, first of all, with a couple of examples, especially in L.A., but also in

Portland and Dallas, where things got just a little bit out of hand.

U.S. Attorney Bill O'Saley posting on X to those who were smashing concrete blocks and

throwing them at our officers.

We have you on video. We will find you and arrest you too. You've been warned.

The protests also became chaotic in Portland, Oregon, where an unlawful assembly was declared outside an ice facility.

In Dallas, no King's protesters and a pro-America demonstration clashed.

And the New York Post reports that the two groups had to be separated.

Now, our audio listeners can't see it, Nick, but there's nothing that says we want to protect and save democracy more than flying the hammer and sickle and having pro-communism banners at these rallies.

There's also a guy who was caught spray painting, kill your local ice agent on the wall.

So these are definitely the moderate people who are fighting against extremism.

Oh, yeah, absolutely. No, I was going to bring my communist flag to the no king's protest I was

going to, but instead I brought my Hamas flag because, you know, nothing, nothing signifies to me

a greater appreciation for individual liberty

and self-determination than, like, the Islamic Republic, right? That's who I wanted to protest

in favor of on No Kings Day is I just wanted to pick every single dictatorial regime I possibly

...
