Really glad you're with us for the Friday edition of the Three Martini Lunch.

If you paid attention to the news at all on Thursday, you probably had a pretty good idea.

This is going to be a pretty intense episode of the three martini lunch.

And we're going to dive right into it talking about both terrorist attacks, Michigan, Virginia yesterday, some of the crazy responses to it, as well as other crazy rhetoric.

That's not directly related to this.

So let's dive right in.

Let's start with the attack on the synagogue in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, one of the larger

Reformed Jewish synagogues in the country. It's known as Temple Israel. The attack was

carried out by a vehicular assault with a car apparently filled with explosives. This guy was a

naturalized American citizen originally from

Lebanon. Iman Muhammad Ghazali is his name. Got into a shootout with the very well armed and very

well trained security, thankfully, at this temple, which had just undergone some FBI training a while

ago, a few weeks ago. And there's conspiracy theories now that this is all a false flag

because there had been that training with the FBI, which is utterly insane. Sheriff Mike Bouchard,

Oakland County, Michigan, been there a long time. I actually ran for Senate against Debbie Stabenow

a couple of decades ago handling this investigation, saying what a good job the Temple did to make sure

that the kids in this preschool, the staff were not injured. One security member was injured,

and I do believe there was a fire there at the temple as a result of the explosives in the

vehicle, but it could have been a lot, lot worse. Here's Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer earlier
