A lot to get to today.

Bad moves by Republicans in Montana.

The president considering a possible change at the Department of Homeland Security.

But Jim, we start with one of your favorite stories of the year. And really, because it grinds your gear so much. And that is the Senate race in the state of Maine. Susan Collins is up for another term, first elected in 1996.

The governor there, Janet Mills, who is approaching 80 years old, is trying to become a freshman United States senator.

But the one who keeps getting all the attention is the Bernie Sanders endorsed candidate,

and that is Graham Platner.

And he's getting a lot of attention probably for reasons he would not prefer, namely the Totenkamp Nazi tattoo,

but also some really crazy writings he had on Reddit over the years, as well as the fact that he has now recently appeared on the podcast of a guy who is considered to be an

anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist, a guy named Nate Kornatchie, if I'm saying that correctly.

But anyway, he's appeared on that.

But at the same time, he's doing better in the polls again.

Remember when the Nazi tattoo story came out?

He cratered in the polls.

He had been ahead,

his staff was abandoning him. It looked like he was going to maybe last a scaramucci or two, and then all of a sudden, he's back in the lead. And some polls buy a lot over Janet Mills in this primary. So even though he's now been on this show with this guy who's considered an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist.

He's never really had a good explanation for the tattoo or some of the writings he had well

into his adulthood.
