I've just noticed something.

I've never noticed this before.

I missed out on one of the great golden

experiences of radio presenting. On a day like today, what, 30 years ago, I would have the

unalloyed joy of bringing into young people's lives, maybe not a ten o'clock, actually, maybe

it's a bit late. No, do you remember

they used to announce on the radio what schools were not going to open because of the, because

of the snow? I don't know that you could ever deliver more joy to a listener than by revealing

that they didn't have to go to school that day. Could you? Probably one for the breakfast

show, actually, rather than mine. I don't know.

Probably too late by now to announce

school closures. But goodness me, that must have been, that must

have been a happy little studio experience.
