Welcome back. It's Monday. I just that's the notification says I need to be doing a podcast right now. Hope you all had a great weekend. I'll tell you a little bit about mine in a minute.

Bring in Dan Dan. What's going on, man? How was your weekends ago?

You know, we were talking briefly before the show here and my weekends are going to be tough for the next 13 weeks, I'd say.

Why is that just the Patriots, man, it is just it is a sad state of affairs in my NFL fandom. Well, it's funny. So on a scale of like one to one to 10, one being.

I do not care about sports football at all. I don't care about the Patriots at all to all the way to 10.

Like if they lose, I break things in my house, I break my own stuff. Where would you fall on your fandom of the Patriots?

So that's hard. I'd say I probably like a five or six. Like there's no breaking. There's no like anger. And I'm just such a fan of football and individual players in general that it's like, okay, well, I'm just not going to follow the Patriots that closely this year because there's nothing interesting going on.

Where do you think or do you think that comes from? Did you have you always had because I was talking I was listening to a smartless podcast because we my wife and I went to Los Angeles this last weekend and.

They were interviewing a sports guy who started a podcast and he's apparently a very famous sports commentator. I don't know who the guy is.

But they were talking about where this love for sports comes from. And for him, it started when he was like a child like six years old. He like got the bug.

And for the rest of his life, he's just enjoyed it like some people enjoy politics, right?

Where do you think that? And also, I think that sometimes it comes when you get to college or something and now you have a team kind of to root for that's part of your alma mater.

Where does it come from for you?

So I think just growing up in New England, we just had excellent sports when I was a kid.

Like Red Sox, one of the World Series in 04, the Patriots first dynasty, the Patriots later dynasty, like it was just that we had really good sports. So it was very easy to follow it.

And then as I kind of progressed through like, I would say like middle school, so like 2007-ish me and my friends started to get into really big into fantasy sports.

And so I think that's one of the things that kind of kept it was the competitiveness that you get into with your friends and various fantasy sports.

And that's one of the things that's kind of kept us together as we grow older too.

Yeah, it's funny. You say that because my entire interest in any sports is wrapped around fantasy.
