I've long said that that is one of the Ten Commandments precisely because it is one of the

most vile and evil things you can do to another human being, to lie about them, and to bear false

witness against them. It is particularly loathsome because the person or people who engage

in this sin know from the very conception of their false witness that they are lying, that they
